We all love to see all our home devices to work together, smartly, and seamlessly. This is an important factor when you want all your devices to connect to the thermostat.
I am a great fan of Ring and using Ring doorbell for years but when it comes to pairing thermostat, it’s a bit complicated.
There are several thermostats that work with Ring but it requires an external source IFTTT (If This Then That), which allows it to work smartly and keep connected with the thermostat.
The Ring does not have any thermostat of its own. It can connect to any other compatible thermostat. Very few thermostats are suitable with Ring.
However, Ring works well with Google Nest or Alexa but does Nest thermostat can work with Ring? A quick video on this can make your life easier.
What thermostats work with Ring?
The best thermostat that works with the Ring app is Nest and with Alexa too. The cliché is that Ring has to be connected through an IFTTT app. This app helps in connecting all the apps and devices for smooth and best performance.
Other thermostats other than Google Nest are also available for the Ring app. I shall name a few of them here, and Ring Doorbell 2, too, is suitable for these thermostats.
- Ecobee4 Smart Thermostat
- Honeywell Lyric T5 Wi-F9 Thermostat
- Carrier Cor 5C Thermostat
Emerson Sensi Touch Wi-Fi Thermostat - Lennox iComfort E30 Smart Thermostat
- Johnson Controls GLAS Smart Thermostat
- Lux Kono Smart Thermostat
An important point here is that most thermostats are suitable for Alexa. They match up to Ring Doorbell too. It is because of Amazon acquiring Ring in February 2018. Hence, most thermostats work with Ring Doorbell 2 and Alexa.
These thermostats work well with the Alexa app.
Is ring compatible with other Smart Thermostats?
Ring has never implied that it is going to integrate with smart thermostats. The other way round is that Google is offering to integrate the home system with Ring video doorbells and smart thermostats and is only company to do so.
